THE STANCHION FAMILY

JEFF BOGLE
Jeff is the founder, editor, publisher, and leader of Stanchion's one-man band. He's also is a photographer, and a writer with bylines in The Washington Post, Fodor's, Travel & Leisure, Wine Enthusiast, USA Today, Reader's Digest, Parents Magazine, Esquire, Cosmo, Good Housekeeping, PBS, and Time Out New York, among other publications. In addition to his own two books (guided journals for dads and kids), he has had stories and monologues published in several anthologies. In addition to his writing, Jeff won the 2016 Iris Award for Photography and 2017 Iris Award for Philanthropy. He's a cat lover who will see his unique travel book, Street Cats and Where to Find Them, published in summer 2025 by Running Press, a Hachette Book Group imprint.
He founded Stanchion in July 2020, in the midst of a pandemic and civil unrest, as a way of shining a bit of hopeful, creative light into the ever-creeping darkness, and to create something tangible and permanent in an ever-digitized and increasingly disposable world.
In addition to being a working travel writer and photographer, Jeff is a proud dad to a pair of teen daughters, a husband, son, and brother, European football obsessive, music lover, bread baker and amateur home cook, cat dad, home economics star student, and decent human being. Jeff's TBR is ever-growing. He lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
