The inaugural sailing will be January 24-31, 2027 in the Eastern Caribbean on board the stunning, most artistic and elegant ship in the world, the Celebrity Beyond. Hannah Grieco will be leading the prose track and Alison Lubar is on board as the instructor for the poetry track. Bookings are now available here (use password Stanchion@Sea to gain access). All the cabin prices you see are group rates for us that are far more affordable than booking directly through the cruise line and include a classic drinks package, wifi, and all on board gratuities. If you, like me, don't drink alcohol or if you long to disconnect from the internet for a sunny week in the Caribbean, you can easily adjust all these options with Keri Wilmont, the cruise planner helping me with Stanchion @ Sea. There will be a Zoom session in fall 2025 with a Celebrity Cruise representative to answer any and all of your questions, discuss the ship, itinerary, and more, and during which you will receive bonus on board credit simply for attending! In addition to the price of the cruise, the 2027 Stanchion @ Sea Writing Retreat fee is $600 (not due until 2026 and an installment plan will be available). Hannah Grieco is a writer, editor, and college professor. Her work appears in a wide variety of literary and freelance publications, including The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Brevity, Craft, Shenandoah, FairyTale Review, Wigleaf, The Rumpus, Stanchion, and more. She is the author of First Kicking, Then Not (Stanchion, 2025) an editor of novels and prose collections at Alan Squire Publishing, and is the editor of the anthologies 'Already Gone' (Alan Squire Publishing, 2023) and 'And If That Mockingbird Don’t Sing: Parenting Stories Gone Speculative' (Alternating Current Press, 2022). Alison Lubar teaches high school English by day and yoga by night. They are a queer, nonbinary, biracial Nikkei femme whose life work has evolved into bringing mindfulness practices to young people. They’re the author of two full-length poetry books, The Other Tree, winner of Harbor Editions’ Laureate Prize (forthcoming September 2025), and METAMOURPHOSIS (fifth wheel press, 2024), as well as four chapbooks: Philosophers Know Nothing About Love (Thirty West, 2022), queer feast (Bottlecap Press, 2022), sweet euphemism (Mouthfeel Press, 2023), and It Skips a Generation (Stanchion, 2023).
